How To Get More Leads From Your Website

We all know websites are a powerful marketing tool but not all websites are used to their full potential. Few visitors will call or buy from a website on the first visit, so getting their information in some other way is important. Getting their information allows you to reconnect, inform them and bring them back to your site.

However, today’s visitors are savvy, getting them to give you their email address or contact information can be challenging. It takes a lot more than a newsletter signup form to get them to give you their email address. It usually takes an incentive to get that valuable visitor information.

Start by coming up with an incentive or free offer for your visitors. Here are a few popular offers that can entice visitors into giving you their information: coupons, ebooks, white papers, free downloads, and free informational videos. While some of these offers take time to write or create, they can be used for years to come.

The next step is to design an ad on your site that will get attention, you homepage is a perfect place for this. For the best response keep the headline simple, and the form short.

Getting the form and offer on your website is easier than you think. The promotional item you are offering can be added to an auto-responder email typically sent when visitors sign up for your newsletter (most email marketing services have this tool). And of course, once you have their information don’t forget to follow up.
