If newsletters aren’t right for your business, or you just don’t have the time, consider starting a triggered email series.
An email campaign is a string of emails that is triggered by a subscription. This series is one example. Give your clients a crash course on a topic, or trigger a few coupon and follow-up emails. Creating a short campaign is a great way to get going if you don’t want to commit to writing email newsletters every few weeks.
Imagine following up with everyone you met at a networking group (let’s say 12 people), and you want to follow up 12 times. That’s 144 emails! How long would it take you to write the emails, make the calls, or send them out to your network? A triggered email campaign is a series of emails that are triggered by you or an event, and that send the saved emails at set intervals over a period of time. You write and setup the emails once, and the system does the rest for you. Whenever someone is added to your campaign list, they start getting your emails. They can look personal, be graphic-oriented, or look like a standard email and no one would know you didn’t write it right before you sent it. It’s a simple domino-effect system–it only takes a small starting action on your part, and the rest is automatic.
